BRIGHTWELLS chair Elizabeth Wolverson has declared the first year of the multi-academy trust as a “great success”.
“Brightwells Trust came into existence just over a year ago and it has been exciting to see the schools working so well together,” said Mrs Wolverson, who is also chief executive of the London Diocesan Board of Schools Academies Trust.
“The three Headteachers spark ideas in each other and there have been some innovative and exciting combined projects which children and staff have enjoyed developing and sharing.
“There is also, at a time when schools often feel under fire from external forces, a sense of mutual support and a sharing of burdens.
“The head teachers and staff share a passion for children’s learning and welfare and it has been fascinating to see that develop in our first full year.
“It has been a privilege for me, as Chair if the Trust to share their journey and work with their individual governing bodies.
“There have been many challenges, and there will be ahead, but the first year has been a great success.”
