Elizabeth Wolverson, Chair of Trustees at Brightwells MAT, has been awarded an OBE by The Queen.
Liz received the honour from The Duke of Cambridge at Buckingham Palace for her services to education. The award was announced in the New Year’s Honours List.
“Everyone is absolutely thrilled at Liz’s honour and sends huge congratulations from the entire Brightwells community,” said MAT CEO Wendy Aldridge.
Liz is CEO of LDBS Academies Trust. She worked as a teacher and school leader in inner London and for the Inner London Education Authority Advisory Service.
For the last 30 years has been an adviser and subsequently the Director for School Support Services at the London Diocesan Board for Schools.
An OBE is a Queen’s honour given to an individual for a major role in any activity such as business, charity or the public sector. OBE stands for Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
